Description
Chair Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe_VDR_18 - Metal Frame, Leather Seats Fixed with Laces and Springs
Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe 1927
- 100% Made in Italy -
Exhibited for the first time with a leather back and seat at the Weißenhof in 1927, it was produced until 1930 by Berliner Metallgewerbe Joseph Müller, and from 1931 by Bamberg Metalwerkstätten, to which all the designs by Mies and Lily Reich were transferred. Within the same year, however, Mies stipulated a contract with Thonet Mundus of Zurich, which guaranteed the worldwide distribution of the products.
Inspired by the design by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, the chair is manufactured with high resistance cold rolled tube mm 25x2 ASFORM 460, polished and chromed 26 micron.
To reinforced the round part which join the seat and the floor tube, an additional tube (mm21, 2 mm thickness) is inserted, so it can increase the resistance.
Hide elements can be in full grain (shoulder) or standard (crust).
Seat with 8 mm bi-conical springs, back with laces if extra hide.
Standard packaging 1 pc.
