Chair Robert Mallet Stevens MS04

Robert Mallet Stevens 1930

- 100% Made in Italy -

The attribution of this chair is controversial. It is believed to have been designed by Mallet Stevens because it appears, with very similar characteristics, in photographs of the kitchen of his Villa Cavroix in 1932 and in the furnishing of a large restaurant that he designed for the "Salon des Arts Ménàgers". Derek E. Ostergard, in his "Bent wood and metal Furniture: 1850-1946" denies instead the paternity of Mallet Stevens on historical-stylistic reasons, based on the differences that characterize the chair present in the photos of the restaurant.

Inspired by the Robert Mallet Stevens project, the chair is stackable and available with a steel tube structure. Seat and back in sheet metal painted with epoxy powders.
