Enrico Franzolini

He is architect and completed his university studies in Florence and Venice, where he graduated in 1979.
His passion and artistic research as a young man resulted in numerous participations in collective and personal exhibitions, starting with a presence at the 1972 Venice Biennale in the decorative arts section.
Parallel to his pictorial research, he developed his commitment in the fields of architecture and industrial design: over the years he has collaborated with some of the most prestigious companies in the furniture sector such as Cappellini, Foscarini, Knoll International, Moroso and Pallucco.
Enrico Franzolini began his collaboration with PEDRALILab by designing the Jil seating programme: chair, small armchair, lounge chair and stool, all upholstered and with an oak frame. There is a wide range of upholstery in both fabric and faux leather, all skilfully matched with bleached or tobacco-coloured oak. With its classic yet contemporary elegance, Jil is also the result of a meticulous study of proportions and ergonomics.
