Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani were both born in Milan in 1970. They graduated at Politecnico of Milan after attending their secondary education in Industrial Design at Monza. In 1999 they started their activity together, estabilishing their studio at Arcore near Milan. They worked with lighting and furnishing companies and developed projects for architectural interiors. The result of their research is to define an essential and functional product, with a seductive design, in order to evoke emotions and familiarities. Every project derives from a strong idea and a creative act The simplicity of the idea is linked to the rejection of vulgarity and to the desire to communicate a sense of balance. In 1999 they became members of the Milan’s Industrial Design Association.Some of their projects have been recommended by the Research Group I.DoT ‘06/07, Italian Design on Tour. Their ‘Diadema Lamp’, manufactured by Vetreria Vistosi was shot-listed for the 21st edition of the Compasso d’Oro award by the 2006 ADI Design Index.Their creations have been published in trade journals such as Domus, Abitare,Interni King size, Ottagono Corriere della Sera’s supplement CasAmica, BravAcasa, Box,Design Diffusion News.
