Furniture: trends for the new year

Like every year, the interior design universe renews itself.
February has arrived and brought with it the trends that will characterise our 2023. Between colours, references to nature and shapes, we discover the main trends:

COLOURS

  • Viva Magenta: the Pantone Colour Institute has revealed that one of the stars this year will be Viva Magenta Pantone 18-1750. It is a carmine red, bold and original. A symbol of courage and optimism towards the future. The shade is inspired by the red of the cochineal, one of the most precious and luminous natural dyes. Designers exploit the colour's potential by choosing it for velvet sofas, seating or simply to revitalise the flat through small touches of light.

  • Dove grey: with its nuances ranging from grey, beige to cream, it is an elegant yet easily combinable tone. This allows you to give free rein to your imagination and play with multiple colour combinations such as white, black, cream and especially wood. We propose our Scab Design "Alice" chairs, delicate but stylish, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Violet: if mystery, sensuality and refinement had to be described with a colour, it would be violet. Details and furnishing accessories in this shade add a touch of personality to the room. One example is the Wingle project designed by Max Lamb for Bitossi Ceramiche. The vase made of hand-cut and hand-scratched slabs has an undulating surface that is enriched and highlighted by the bright glaze.

  • Green: Its soothing tones range from intense green to lighter, more delicate shades. Here our Tulip table stands out in this category in the variant of Verde Alpi marble, a unique and precious material. Its association with other pieces in the same colour scheme immediately gives the flat a fresher, more natural look. To enrich the ambience, our advice is to add plants in pot holders or hanging. They will become an integral part of the styling, intensifying the call to nature.

SHAPES

The simplicity of the most classic geometric shapes meets the soft, rounded lines. The trend for the new year is to create an uncluttered design without depriving it of character. We are looking for softness and it is no coincidence that from a decorative and architectural point of view there is a return to arches.
Pedrali's Buddy collection, with its generous backrests combined with the soft upholstery of the poufs covered in fabric or faux leather, creates a family of comfortable seats that retain the enveloping character so much sought after in this new year.

So what does 2023 represent in the world of interior design?

For us, it is independence, a search for contact with nature and its bright palette, but also passion and gentleness. There is a return to the authenticity of minimal, its linearity elegant and pure. Everything is perfectly balanced, favoring essentiality and functionality to create space for movement and grant-in other words-freedom.
We started this new year by letting ourselves be inspired by the novelties, proposing a constantly updated catalog capable of satisfying all needs with a wide variety of items (tables, chairs, armchairs, furnishing accessories, lighting, table furniture ...) and colors.
In an industry that is constantly changing, we are driven by passion and a desire to learn about new entries, and we look forward to discovering and showing you what this new year has in store for us.
