Klimt Experience in Florence

Works such as The Kiss, the Tree of Life, or Judith are known from everyone, but Gustav Klimt keep on offering new point of views. This is the ultimate goal of Klimt Experience, a big immersive multimedia presentation devoted to the life and work of one of the greatest artis of the modern era - projected on the walls of the former church Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence, from November 26, 2016 until April 2, 2017. As father of the Secession, Klimt worked together with other artists on the myth of the total artwork, of a democratization of beauty and creativity.

The visual impact of the more than 700 selected images reproduced by the system Matrix X-Dimension is impressive; it's designed exclusively for this video installation, which offers visitors a total immersion, without interruptions, in an enigmatic and sensual symbolic world - the triumph of art: 30 laser projectors transmit on 11 big screens over 40 million pixels ensuring the high definition of the Full HD.

You can also try the Klimt VR Experience, a virtual reality experience with Samsung Gear VR Oculus developed by Orwell, which literally allows you to enter the interior of some famous works, perceiving three-dimensionally every figurative and colour detail.

The exhibition, whose administrator is Sergio Risaliti, was conceived and produced by the Group Crossmedia and developed by The Fake Factory, a studio directed by the artist and video designer Stefano Fake. The event is sponsored by Mibact and the Municipality of Florence.
