Fabrizio Barbero studies industrial design at the "Scuola Politecnica di Design" of Milano and graduates with a project of a lamp for operative offices with professor Perry King.
His professional training grow thanks to the collaboration with King / Miranda, Gregotti Associati, Massimo Morozzi Design of Milano.Works with Achille Castiglioni to set up some exhibitions at Palazzo Reale in Milano.He's involved in projects concerning household objects for Tisettanta, Arflex Japan, Sedie & Company, Cristal Art, Giovannetti, Zeritalia, Progetti.For "Le idee di Gualtiero Marchesi" he develops a series of table objects.Office planning consultant for Olivetti Synthesis.Works on exhibition stands for "Olivetti Corporate Identity" coordinated by Hans Von Klier:
Assumes the art direction of the crystal furniture company "Cristal Art" in Torino.For Mandarina Duck works to the definition of a series of office accessories. For Fiat Auto Group designs stands in many car exhibitions in Europe in particular for Lancia and "Fiat Veicoli Commerciali". Founds the BarberoDesign, and works in industrial, graphic, exhibit and multimedia design for company and public organization.Clients: Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, NTT Group, Juventus F.C., Ferrero spa, Comune di Torino, Provincia di Torino, Regione Piemonte. He recently set up the virtual stage design for "L'Olimpiade" of Vivaldi at Teatro Regio in Torino.He designed a stand for an exhibit about the requalification of an urban area of Torino, and together with Tangram Strategic Design, a series of selling points for Hotman, a japanese company that sells towels and similar.Now is designing the extension of the multy-purpose center "Infonord" in Torino, that will use solar panels as alternative energy.Is developing a series of furniture and household objects for children for the japannese company Actus.He's also writing books and educational instruments for children.Teaches "Teoria dei modelli" at the "Scuola Politecnica" of Design in Milano (1989/93).From 1999 teaches "Shop Design" at the "'Istituto Europeo di Design" in Milano and "Storia dell'Allestimento" at the "Istituto Europeo di Design" in Torino.From 2000 he holds a laboratory as an external teacher at the "Facoltà del Design" of the Politecnico in Milano.From 2001 he teaches "Storia del Design" at the University of Torino, Scienze della Formazione - Multidams.Many specified magazines have spoken about the works of Fabrizio Barbero and some writing have been published.
