CUCU' PESCEGALLO - Wall or floor clock with cuckoo Art. 110
Design Nicola D'Apollo
-PIRONDINI ITALIA-
Cuckoo clocks are timepieces created by the hand of a German watchmaker who was born in a small town in the Black Forest in Germany, a mountainous area characterised by buildings with a strong architectural character. The cuckoo clocks still made in the Black Forest today reflect the typical features of local houses with sloping thatched roofs and traditionally shaped pitches. PESCEGALLO is the all-Italian answer, this time taking up the character of typical mountain huts with a pitched roof supported by wooden beams and a stone-clad façade. The cuckoo is characterised by a sheet metal roof and a base on which small solid wood trees can be arranged as desired. In this way, it is possible to recreate a small bucolic landscape according to one's taste and aesthetic sense. The clock is reminiscent of the huts in our forests and the typical features of the huts in our mountains; the name of the cuckoo clock is in fact a tribute to a place representative of a valley at the mouth of which our company is located.
